The Kongresshaus in Zurich hosts numerous events, ranging from stand-up shows to art exhibitions and large-scale corporate events on a total event space of 5,300 square metres. Given the large number of halls and rooms, the connection of the individual components was particularly important to Zurich Insurance – which meant a varied challenge for our event architects. A high degree of planning was necessary to bring out the characteristics of individual rooms. As the many bars and zones represented different regions from all over the world, we decorated the entire location in a variety of styles to bring it in line with the diversity of Zurich Insurance. In addition, the insurance group placed great emphasis on providing plenty of seating, dance floors, and places for photographs as well as space for general interaction. Flowing transitions contributed to a pleasant atmosphere and culminated in the Global Hall, where CEO Mario Greco and Chairman Michel Liès of Zurich Insurance addressed the assembled workforce. They were supported by the renowned mentalist Lior Suchard, whose show provided the highlight of the event. Afterwards, guests had the opportunity to dance and enjoy the atmosphere.
A modern celebration of an insurance group steeped in tradition: for its 150th anniversary, Zurich Insurance gathered at the Kongresshaus Zurich for a very special event. Two thousand employees met to celebrate the occasion. Events of this kind have been held in the historic complex with its inviting outdoor area, various rooms and its large concert hall since 1939. In the middle of the Swiss economic metropolis, the location combines business, culture, art, and gastronomy. The planning and execution of the overall concept was entirely the responsibility of the event architects from Scenotech – which meant that Zurich Insurance had a lot to offer the attendees here: Several bars provided the guests with drinks while the catering brought in international delicacies on a gourmet level. First-class music acts, a famous mentalist as well as several live bands ensured an exuberant atmosphere.

From the first step to the last, the conceptualisation and implementation of this special event was entirely Scenotech’s responsibility. For this purpose, we designed and delivered a meticulously worked-out overall concept that fit perfectly in all its parts: infrastructure, decoration, catering, show acts, personnel management with walking acts and hostesses, and much more were organised and supported by our experts. The result was a spectacular evening for everyone present.
The high-class selection of international food and beverages in eleven zones was the basis for a true F&B masterpiece. The F&B concept for the two thousand guests included more than 50 gourmet menus from all over the world and thus presented not only a culinary but also a logistical challenge, which we were able to solve perfectly with our own expertise and in close cooperation with the chef and their competent kitchen team. In combination with the high-quality musical line-up, this created the atmosphere of an international food and music festival – an extraordinary achievement for an extraordinary occasion.
Added to this was an international, extraordinarily diversified show programme with DJs and several stage shows – Zurich Insurance experienced a grandiose event worthy of its history at the Kongresshaus. This was all based on our sophisticated event concept, which the participants could follow at any time and which was coordinated in detail with the organisers of Zurich Insurance. In addition, the client could rely on the flawless planning of the entire entertainment concept. For the decoration, for example, we developed a unique furniture concept with a multinational flair.
To round off the perfectly staged event, we designed, planned, and implemented a comprehensive AV infrastructure in the Kongresshaus Zurich for this event. In addition, we projected the entire event onto all levels thanks to a special interactive solution with perfect broadcast production: On various screens, the attendees received information about the course of the event as well as the premises.
Of course, we were also responsible for the perfect running of the evening and the selection of the renowned artists. From the reception with a cocktail bar to the warm-up with DJ Engels Rodriguez to the star mentalist Lior Suchard as well as the final performance of “The Sensation Band,” which was perfectly staged in the Global Hall in front of a 60 sqm LED wall. At the same time, the big show elements of the event were broadcast on the generously distributed screens so that all guests present could enjoy the performances.
For the preparation and implementation of this memorable evening, Scenotech’s event architects offered the following services to Zurich Insurance:
