To ensure that the general assembly followed a perfect schedule, we met each challenge with flexibility and expertise. Two particularly big hurdles had to be overcome in the process: the global impact of the pandemic and the strict regulations of the host country Japan in this regard. Thanks to precise and highly accurate calculations, the meeting ran exactly to the members’ expectations. The fact that the project management faced additional headwind due to the blockade of the Suez Canal in spring was not noticeable to the client at all. In our role as event architects, the general assembly benefited from Scenotech’s constant ability to act and adapt. In addition, the close cooperation and collaboration with local partners took an important place on the podium to stage this high-quality event perfectly.
The Event
While athletes outdid themselves at a major sports event in Tokyo, the supervisory board of a sports association also had its hands full. For two days, more than 200 members of the supervisory board, numerous other stakeholders, and media representatives put their heads together and tackled important decisions for the future of sport.

The client was able to rely on Scenotech despite all these circumstances and constraints. Throughout the process, he was able to follow the entire project trajectory: strategic consultations and the execution of feasibility studies gave him a transparent overview of all steps. He could raise questions and requests at any time and be sure that they would be taken into account 100 percent. Within this framework, the scope of duties included the following services for a high quality overall implementation:
- design and implementation planning (technical, architectural and safety planning; energy supply and construction scheduling, official approvals)
- Technical services for event staging (construction; video, light and sound engineering; rigging, broadcast and show sequence).
