FIS Gala Milano
FIS Gala Milano
Die HerausforderungenThe challenges
Both the FIS Gala in Milano and the congress were originally scheduled to take place in Portugal, but were moved to the Italian metropolis at short notice due to the ongoing pandemic. This, as well as the event itself, required quick rescheduling and flexible solutions for the final event design. After all, the room in which the FIS Gala was held until late at night had to be ready for use early the next morning for the ski congress. In order to successfully jump this hill, the federation relied on precise construction scheduling as well as reliable execution planning from Scenotech. Thanks to maintaining the ability to act within the event staging, the participants enjoyed a FIS Gala in Milano that met the expectations of the attendees at all times.
The Event
Floating in the middle of Italy’s starry sky, on the 47th floor of the Allianz Tower, the sport of skiing showed its elegant side as the FIS Gala was held in Milano on the evening before the 53rd International Ski Congress. The candidates for the World Ski Championships presented their bids to the FIS Council and the winners were announced at the following FIS Congress in Milano.
